The KW-1 mechanical setting tool is used to set and run Bridge Plugs or Cement Retainers. This tool incorporates both a stinger seal and mechanical setting function. In addition, it has a built-in snap-latch, allowing the tool to be latched into Cement Retainer with set-down weight and be released by either up straight or right-hand rotation. The sleeve-valve in the cement retainer keep open while runing in the well. When the setting procedures completed, the sleeve-valve may be closed by picking up or opened by slacking off weight. The snap-latch feature allows the sleeve- valve to be shifted open or closed. While the tubing is still anchored to the retainer. Normally the valve is run open so the tubing may fill. However, for pressure testing tubing, while running, the valve being closed. The Cement Retainer can be set and pressure can be tested in a single trip. Features/ Benefits: 1.Special designed Bow Springs provide the positive control and allow one size mechanical setting tool to cover a large range of casing weight;
2.Allow users to set the Bridge Plug or the Cement Retainer, pressure testing tubing and squeeze in a single trip.
