RTTS Circulating Valve introduction

The RTTS Circulating Valve is a Full Bore Retrievable Circulating Valve in Halliburton type. The RTTS circulating valve is applied for drill stem testing string with RTTS packer and the RTTS circulating valve can be locked closed when the packer is unset to fluid around the bottom of the packer. The full bore design of the RTTS circulating valve allows tubing-type guns and other wire line equipment to pass.

Operation of RTTS Circulating Valve

When the RTTS Circulating Valve is placed in the hole, the valve must be in the locked open position. The J-slot in the packer-body drag block (or drag sleeve) must also be placed in the unset position.When the circulating valve is opened to come out of the hole, the tubing is lowered, turned to the right, and picked up. The operating principle of RTTS Circulating Valve is based on lug movements in a J-slot. The lugs move with workstring manipulation. When the lug is in the upper position, the circulating valve is open; when the lug is in the lower position, the circulating valve is closed.
